Dr M is an experienced academic currently employed at an Australian
University. Dr M has completed her Graduate Certificate in Higher Education,
Postgraduate Supervisor Training including courses on student-supervisor
relationships, external supervision and supervision in teams, intellectual
property, and thesis examination. Dr M is an associate member of the Institute
of Professional Editors via the Society of Editors Victoria.
Dr M has experience supervising and mentoring postgraduate students and
has been employed in an additional capacity for the Vice Chancellors office
mentoring research groups in a range of disciplines, and also has experience in
proofreading and editing documents in the academic university setting. Dr M has
been a member of a University Ethics Committee for more than five years and in
this role has read literally hundreds of research proposals over a huge range of

Dr M has completed her own PhD journey and was awarded the Vice
Chancellors Commendation for Doctoral Thesis Excellence. Dr M has significant
academic publications in health areas and is a peer reviewer for several
international health journals.
Dr M has held positions both on the Student Union as a postgraduate
representative and on the University Postgraduate Association Executive
Committee, affording her a high level of understanding of the challenges that
face postgraduate research students when trying to complete postgraduate theses.
On a personal level, Dr M is a mum to three and enjoys going to the gym,
gardening... and reading theses!
